Who we are
JoinMeFor.App is an independent, non-commercial hobby project built and run by one person — it is not operated by a company. See our Imprint for contact details. By using JoinMeFor.App, you agree to these Terms.
What JoinMeFor.App is
JoinMeFor.App lets a user ("host") create a private, shareable profile listing experiences they'd like to do with someone, along with specific bookable time slots ("Termine"). Another user ("visitor") can request to join a Termin. Once a host approves a request, both participants are expected to show up.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
Your safety when meeting people
JoinMeFor.App connects people for real-life meetings. We do not perform identity checks, background checks, or any other vetting of users. You are solely responsible for your own safety and judgment when communicating with, meeting, or spending time with anyone through JoinMeFor.App. We strongly recommend meeting in public places and telling someone else your plans. JoinMeFor.App is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform, or for anything that happens before, during, or after a meeting arranged through the service.
Commitment deposits
JoinMeFor.App's design includes an optional "commitment deposit" mechanic intended to reduce no-shows: a refundable hold placed on both participants once a booking is approved, released once both confirm they met, and forfeited according to no-show rules otherwise. This feature is currently disabled — no payments are processed through JoinMeFor.App at this time. If it's enabled in the future, updated terms describing the exact payment, refund, and forfeiture mechanics will be published here in advance.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use JoinMeFor.App to harass, threaten, defraud, or endanger anyone; to impersonate another person; to post false, misleading, or unlawful content; or to use the service for anything other than arranging genuine in-person experiences with other users. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate this.
No warranty
JoinMeFor.App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. As a project maintained by one person in their spare time, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoinMeFor.App and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of JoinMeFor.App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence if you are an EU consumer. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are not obliged, and do not currently participate, in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
